In accordance with regulations from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Universal Postal Union circulars, mail sent from abroad (not carried luggage) that contains goods is currently limited to the following two scenarios, which fall under duty exemption:
- Bona Fide Non-Commercial Gifts: The parcel must be marked as a “gift,” and the total value of the contents must not exceed USD 100 (inclusive).
- Books: The contents must consist only of “books” or “informational materials”
